I’m pretty sure I’ve posted this truck before, but that’s okay, it’s still just as good looking. Not my ideal 60 series, but pretty damn close

Thats a cool roof rack conversion, not a gutter mount. one wonders how watertight it is though.

If it’s anything like what was done to my 109, it’s a terrible idea that will only lead to headaches down the road. Trucks like these have gutter mounts for a reason.

God I love FJ60s.. This past summer I looked at a solid driver 60 during my DDable old 4x4 search. Looked great, drove great, felt great. I fell in love. I offered the owner his full asking price(which in all fairness was under what he could’ve asked for) but it was a Sunday so I couldn’t get the money. He warned me that someone else was coming to look at it later that day, someone else looked and out-offered me. The asking price was already my absolute max budget so I had to let it go.

Wound up buying my second gen 4Runner which was at a much better price for my budget compared with what I offered for the 60. I really, really like my 4Runner but every time I see a 60 I get that twinge... God I wish I’d had another $1000 to work with.

I’ve seen it being driven around in the rain several times, so I imagine it’s alright. Who knows though, maybe I’ll ask when I see him again

I badly want one as well. They’re massively out of my budget now, but definitely high on my list of “maybe one day” cars

The guy was only asking 4500. It was what I would usually consider high mileage but Land Cruisers get a different definition of high mileage.

Usually they’re way out of mine too but every so often you stumble upon one that’s just someone’s old truck they’re getting rid of and they don’t realize it’s kinda a classic

Ohh man that’s a good deal. Yeah my only hope is catching something like that, likely a gas/auto and converting it to a diesel/manual because that’s almost definitely cheaper than finding a decent diesel

It was gas/manual. I thought it was too good to be true and it turned out to be, but not in the normal sense like they left something really big out of the ad
